Community Cleanup - A Poem
A PPTFH volunteer shared this lovely poem to commemorate the ongoing cleanups.
Community Cleanup
Picking up trash at an abandoned homeless encampment

deep in Temescal Canyon,
We come upon bright orange and yellow nasturtiums
poking through the muck and debris.
Cheer and new life bursting forth from despair and decay.
So too does hope spring from strangers laboring together
For a purpose beyond their narrow needs
Amid a landscape that often favors discord and greed.
